How to play

Two minutes to learn. One turn to get it. A whole night to get good at it.

Setup

  1. Who's playing. Two names makes it Couples. Three to eight makes it Party.
  2. Heat. Sweet, Spicy or Filthy. Leave “Start sweet, get hotter” on to warm up slowly.
  3. Extras (optional). Play to 50, 100 or 150. Couples dares, action cards, a turn timer, house words and your own word lists.

Everyone confirms they're 18+, and the cards are dealt: 25 each. You can hold up to 30.

Your turn

Pass the phone to whoever's up. The hand-off screen hides the cards until they tap. Then, in any order:

Tap Play when your line is ready, or End turn to finish without playing. Take back pulls placed cards off the board. Stuck? Hint suggests a line and numbers the cards in order.

Reading out loud

This is the point of the game. Read the whole line out loud, in the voice the game gives you. Tap ⟳ for a different voice.

While you read, everyone can react with 😂 🔥 😳 as often as they like. Reactions don't change points, but the most-loved line wins Crowd favorite.

Doesn't make sense? Anyone can challenge. The table votes, majority rules. If the line is rejected, the cards go back and the turn is lost.

✋ Pass is always there. Anyone can tap it on a line or a dare: it goes away, cards go back, the turn passes. No score, no questions.

Scoring

WhatPoints
Each card in your lineThe number on the card
Seven or more cards in one line+25 bonus
House words (gold stripe)3 each
Your own list words (dashed blue stripe)2 each
Blank card (any one word)0
Couples dare, done+3
Real life action card, done+2

Suffix cards (-s, -ing, -ed) join the word before them.

Special cards

With action cards on, dark ★ cards turn up in the deck. Tap one on your turn to use it; they never go on the board.

Winning

First to the target wins. If every card is used up first, high score wins. Then the podium rises, the awards come out (Best line, Crowd favorite, Longest line) and you can share a clean image with the words hidden. Rematch keeps the same players.

Every game also counts toward each player's rating (it works like chess, everyone starts at 1000), XP, level and title.

Playing online

  1. Everyone signs in with their email (free, no password).
  2. One person taps Play online › Host a game and gets a 6-digit code and a QR code.
  3. Everyone else scans the QR or taps Join with a code.
  4. The host taps Start. Each player sees only their own cards.

Drinking? That's a house rule. The app doesn't do it for you.
